In The Zone
"The zone is when everything is in
slow motion although it's really at full speed and feels
effortless."
- Raj Gavurla

In The Zone
It's the end of January. Have you stuck with your new year's resolutions?
If yes, congratulations! If no, here are two simple tips to help you make progress.
1. Use Emotional Logic
Many people want to lose weight in a healthy way. They get a nutritionist
and exercise plan. People have problems staying motivated and inspired because the results aren't coming as fast as
they want. To keep you motivated and inspired use emotional logic to get you eating right and exercising. See, what's
keeping you from your goal is logic (i.e. "I can skip a day." "I'm in my comfort zone." "It's useless." "This is the way I am.").
Therefore, instead of relying on logical emotion use emotional logic. Start with emotion to trigger your logic to get started. Then, use logical
emotion.
2. Use Logical Emotion
After getting started with emotional logic, use logical emotion to navigate
your way through your eating and exercise plan. Therefore, if you're running on the treadmill and feel yourself sluggishly
making progress use logic (i.e. "Pick up the pace." "See a positive image and replicate it" "Run harder".
Revert between Emotional Logic and Logical Emotion as needed. Soon, you'll
be "In The Zone". Everything is in slow motion although at full speed and effortless. It feels like nirvana. This is where you want to be.
Comment on the times you've been "In The Zone". Think of a work and sports example.

Thinking Tools
"It's critical to keep adding thinking tools to your mindset to improve performance to be better." - Raj Gavurla
Thinking Tools
During a recent visit to my sister's place, my four year old nephew was dribbling a basketball. He really impressed me! To raise the bar to another new best level for him, I told him to keep his head up while dribbling. Usually, children and less often adults won't because the "thinking tool" in their mindset is "look at the ball to dribble." As readers of my e-zine, you know a "thinking tool" I use when working with clients is to use "logical emotion".
As you can see my instruction, "keep your head up" didn't use the thinking tool, "logical emotion". The logic was there because to raise the bar in dribbling the basketball the head must be up so you can read the defense, pass, or shoot. Watch NBA point guards to prove the point. My instruction should have been "keep your head up to make it easier (show him how and why)." Then, instruct him to "dribble like you're in a game so you can read the defense, pass, or shoot to win." The emotion has been added, "easier, show, and win" and the logic enhanced, "read the defense, pass, shoot". Putting both logic and emotion together is my thinking tool, "logical emotion".
When giving instructions to colleagues or clients in person or on the phone, make sure to use "logical emotion" not logic on its own or not emotion on its own. You'll raise the bar to another new best level. Each person's trustworthiness level and interest increases. It only takes a few more words, saves time and produces better results to win, make money, grow, and evolve to prosper. Use the thinking tool, "logical emotion" at work and home to enhance your business and life.

In The Zone
To be “in the zone”, consistent high performance, our mindset must have a program readily available. Sure, each of us has specific expertise we use to create solutions for our businesses to grow. As a mindset, mood, and mental motivation expert, I want to know how you make your thought process better.
Having worked with business leaders and athletes, one “way to think” so you can be “in the zone”, consistent high performance on the job is to do the following:
1. Refuel by using logical emotion to motivate and inspire your passion to create results – simply create a phrase that includes both logic and emotion. I put logic first to force you to think first. However, logic without emotion is dangerous and emotion without logic is dangerous. An example of a logical emotion phrase I use when at the airport security check is “get through the gate without a hitch”. The logic part of the phrase is “through the gate” the emotion part, usually the reward, is “without a hitch”. It’s a reward because by doing so you save time.
2. Visualize – this is done through stories, thoughts, words, people moment, and images. The story is from a speech or something you read. Thoughts are simply your analysis of the situation, people moment is a snapshot of inspiration, words are from a conversation or something you heard, and images are what you need to see to successfully accomplish your goal. As you use logical emotion and then visualize using one or more inputs, you are then “in the zone”. Your mindset is tuned up for high performance.
Often, we miss this step in accomplishing our goals and tasks. Therefore, our mindset is not primed for consistent high performance. Our results are weakened. When you take a few seconds to program your mindset before attending a meeting, making a sales call, interviewing, and performing your job, you are able to produce “in the zone” results. It’s a lot more fun being “in the zone”.

Positive Self-Think, Positive Self-Talk, Logical Emotion
"Use positive self-think, positive self-talk, or logical emotion to get in the right mindset, mood, and be motivated."
Positive Self-Think:
Use this if you have a negative result. Simply, think a positive to compete.
Ex: If you're not moving your feet on defense, think the word "move".
Positive Self-Talk:
Use this by talking to yourself out loud to compete to win.
Ex: If you miss a free throw, out loud say something to focus.
Logical Emotion:
Words without the right body language and action send mix messages.
Ask yourself:
Are you happy?
If no, why not?
Are you having fun?
If no, why not?
Are you winning?
If no, why not?
Do you enjoy it?

Are you making money?
